An Atheist Doesn’t Believe A god Exists, But If He Did

I'm in several Facebook groups that present religious individuals versus atheists. I'll admit that Facebook's algorithm puts it in my face constantly, more than I really care for, but something that I've absorbed into my thinking over time as I've delved more into the thought process is not so much as to whether there IS a god, and I know, I'm centering on the United States' version of the thousands of gods, but more so that I have a much higher integrity & moral level than this depiction of a god does.

As a matter of fact, modern society does as well. If someone tried to kill, or threaten, their son because he had thoughts in his head that a higher being told him to do so, he'd be locked up. Unless of course, you're a government leader that does so in multiples in foreign countries, and you have followers that think that's morally okay.

So, upon reviewing the multiple arguments in these Facebook groups, some that I just scroll over, some I indulge in just to see the comments, the question becomes, "even if there were a god, would I submit"? The answer would be a hard "no". Sorry, but my morals prevent me from respecting baby killers, foe killers, civilization killers, war mongers, narcissists--if I literally sat down and had a conversation with this god, I'd have to walk away in disgust because my morals are higher than his.

Life is brutal. It is based on death for survival of the upper level of the food chain--all the way down. The concept is fucked up, but I can't blame a god that doesn't exist. But you can cheer the concept of a psychopath if that's what you prefer to worship and your nature to subscribe to that tells me everything about you. And that's why I laugh at all of your comments in that Facebook group because it's obvious that you have no intellectual capabilities.
